Support for R&D&I programs and projects that contribute to solving the challenges established in the mission "Bioeconomy for a living and diverse Colombia towards a knowledge-driven society".

The program aims to contribute to the sustainable socioeconomic development of the country, from and for the regions, by supporting R&D&I programs and projects aimed at developing, validating and commercializing products and processes with high added value in the market, based on the efficient management of biomass and the sustainable use of biodiversity and its ecosystem services. This program has two modalities: MODALITY 1: Strategic alliances are organizations formed by at least one national Higher Education Institution (HEI) with current institutional accreditation of high quality and a public, private or mixed research center or institute, or a technological development center, public or private, or an innovation and productivity center, at least one national HEI not accredited and at least one entity of the national or international productive sector with presence in the country, that develop R&D&I programs focused on solutions to the challenges of the Bioeconomy Mission. MODALITY 2: In this modality the proposal may be submitted by one or several entities. Those entities classified here as Executing Entities may submit and execute proposals in their own name and those classified as Collaborators / Beneficiaries must be submitted in association with an executing entity.
